No, we do not require any additional information during the application period for a student who requires special education. If an awarded scholarship student with disabilities wishes to use scholarship funds to pay for educational services or therapies related to your student’s diagnosis, you may be asked to produce your student’s IEP, Service Plan or a written note from your student’s treating physician to validate the expense. The disability indicated must be education related and affect the acquisition of knowledge or skills.
These would include services provided by a licensed or accredited practitioner or provider including occupational therapy, behavioral therapy, physical therapy, audiology or speech-language therapy.
